(I had an old sergeant friend tell me that anytime you're telling a true story you have to start out with "so there we were...")
So there we were in Marshall on Wednesday. Maren & I had gone over to do insurance paperwork & take a look at the model apt. to get an idea of how much space we'd have. I had taken some boxes over for my office when lo & behold the dean's admin assistant said, "I don't know if I should do this, but there's a house..."
So we went & looked. And we like. So now, on Jul 12, we put in a bid on the house.
Today, Jul 13, they accepted. We have a house in Marshall, Texas. 32 Linwood Drive, Marshall, TX, 75672.

I'm going to TP your house, now that I know the address. hahahaha.
I got it on google maps, looked at it on the satellite view - hidden in the trees, and got driving directions - 17 hours and 39 minutes - already. We're packing and coming soon. - Dad
I think we all learned a valuable lesson...never trust a dean's assistant
Actually, when you try and fail, I hope you learn a lesson, never try.
p.s.
I just ordered a pizza to that address, pizza dude has 30 minutes or it's free.
Congrats on the house! What a blessing! :) ejw

Wonderful to hear that your house hunting was fruitful. You never know when good things will happen. We too have had our bid accepted and will soon by house owners in Sanford, NC. This growing up and being mature is not what we talked about and had planned on.
Congrats! A man's home is his hassle. Be sure to make friends with the neighbors who have a pool. Looks like there are a few of them.
(Only 9.5 hours for us...)
